Municipal Administrative Center - Places to go in Cali

Crossing the Bridge Ortiz north on Cali River Park near the Retreat, is a complex of modern buildings which are located the offices of the main city's municipal authorities.

Cali was the first city in Colombia that had a modern building to house their governmental institutions, known as the MAC (Municipal Administrative Center) houses the City Hall, secretaries, treasury, land registry and City Council, as well as the offices of public companies the city, so it is common to see lots of Cali doing all kinds of paperwork. For occasions and festivities in the city the square of the CAM is the scene of events and musical, artistic and political.

Next to the Municipal Administrative Center is the Park of the Retreat, known for musical events presented the municipal band in the afternoon on Sunday called retreats.
